🛠 Step 0: Prerequisites

Before starting, you'll need:

• A KonfHub account (simply sign up on konfhub.com) 

• A Seats.io workspace (simply sign up on seats.io and choose the Free tier) 

• Event ticket categories

• Venue layout

Note: Seat Selection is currently available only in the Gold Plan.

🛠 Step 1: Create Your Seating Arrangement in Seats.io

Start by designing your venue layout in Seats.io by clicking on the New seating chart.

You can:

• Design the layout manually or upload an image of your floor plan

• Add tables, rows, stage, entry/exit points

• Increase or decrease the number of chairs for each table based on your venue capacity

• Customize seating to match your actual venue setup

Categorize Your Seating

You can define categories such as:

• VIP Tables

• Premium Rows

• Regular Seats

 

Attendees can then:

• Book entire tables

• Or select individual seats within a table

🚀 Step 2: Publish Your Seating Chart

Once your seating design is ready:

• Publish the layout within Seats.io

• Ensure all categories are properly configured

This step makes your seating plan ready to be linked with your event on KonfHub.

Head over to KonfHub and:

• Create your event as usual

• Add ticket types that match the seating categories created in Seats.io

If you created “VIP Table” and “Regular Seat” in Seats.io, create corresponding tickets in KonfHub.

Map Categories with KonfHub Tickets

Each seating category in Seats.io contains configurable keys. To ensure the correct seats are linked with the correct tickets on KonfHub, each seating category in Seats.io must be linked to its corresponding KonfHub ticket using the KonfHub Ticket ID. This mapping ensures attendees automatically receive the correct ticket when they select a seat during registration.

After this mapping is completed, share the required keys with the KonfHub support team and your event will be ready.

Step 4: Connect Seats.io with KonfHub

Now comes the integration step.

From your Seats.io dashboard:

• Go to Settings

• Copy the following keys:

  • Event Key

  • Public Workspace Key

  • Secret Key
