# Custom Domains for Event Registration Pages: Give Your Event a Truly Branded Experience

Your registration page is one of the first touchpoints between your event and your attendees. Before they see the agenda, speakers, or even the venue details, they see the registration link.

So why should that link take them to a third-party domain?

With **Custom Domains in KonfHub's White Label feature**, organizers can use their own domain for their event registration page. Instead of sharing a URL such as:

[https://konfhub.com/techsummit](https://konfhub.com/techsummit)

you can use a domain that matches your brand, such as:

[https://techsummit.acme.com](https://techsummit.acme.com)

The registration experience continues to run on KonfHub, but the URL your attendees see is completely yours.

It is a small change, but it can make the registration experience feel much more connected to your brand.

## **What Is a Custom Domain?**

Custom Domains let you use your own domain or subdomain for your KonfHub event registration page instead of a KonfHub URL. This helps keep your registration experience aligned with your event or organization’s existing website and branding.

For example, instead of using a KonfHub registration URL, a company can use [annualconference.yourcompany.com](http://annualconference.yourcompany.com) for its event registrations.

## **Why Use a Custom Domain for Your Event?**

A custom domain can make your event registration experience feel more professional, consistent, and aligned with your brand. Here are a few ways it can add value to your event:

* **Make Your Brand More Visible:** Your event may already have its own branding, website, email campaigns, social media pages, and promotional material. Using your own domain for the registration URL keeps your organization or event brand visible throughout the attendee journey.

* **Give Your Event a More Professional Look:** Compare konfhub.com/annualconference with [events.yourcompany.com](http://events.yourcompany.com). A custom domain immediately makes the registration page feel like it belongs to the organization hosting the event. This is especially useful for corporate conferences, university events, industry summits, workshops, and other professionally branded events.

* **Keep the Attendee Journey Consistent:** Attendees may discover your event through your website, receive the registration link by email, and return to the same link later to check their registration details. Using your own domain across these touchpoints creates a consistent and familiar experience.

* **Go Beyond Basic White Labeling:** Custom Domains are part of KonfHub's **White Label** capabilities, giving organizers greater control over how their event is presented. The registration experience can feel like a natural extension of your own event ecosystem rather than something hosted elsewhere.

## **How to Set Up a Custom Domain in KonfHub**

Once you've decided which domain you want to use, setting it up involves configuring your DNS and adding the domain to your KonfHub account.

**Step 1: Open Custom Domain Settings**

Custom Domains are available only in the **Gold Plan** under the **Whitelabel menu item**.

From your organizer dashboard, go to:

**Advanced → White Label → Customisation → Custom Domain**

You'll find the Custom Domain configuration option there.

**Step 2: Add the CNAME Record**

KonfHub will provide the **CNAME record** required for your domain.

Log in to your domain provider or DNS management portal and add the CNAME record provided by KonfHub.

The exact process can vary between providers, so the screen and terminology may be slightly different depending on where your domain is managed.

Once the DNS record has been added, you can move back to KonfHub.

**Step 3: Add the Domain to KonfHub**

Return to:

**Advanced → White Label → Customisation → Custom Domain**

Enter your custom domain and save the configuration.

After the domain is successfully configured, attendees can access your event registration page using your custom URL instead of the standard KonfHub URL.

## **A Few Things to Remember**

Before setting up your custom domain, there are a few restrictions worth knowing.

### **No Path-Based Domains**

KonfHub does not support adding a path segment to the custom domain configuration. So a setup like this isn't supported:

[https://yourcompany.com/events](https://yourcompany.com/events)

Instead, the domain itself should be the custom domain.

For example:

[https://events.yourcompany.com](https://events.yourcompany.com)

![](https://cdn.hashnode.com/uploads/covers/6412b643ab81b092709ad1c2/9e5248aa-7175-4ad7-8a83-7192347d6004.png align="center")

If you want to keep your main website running on [yourcompany.com](http://yourcompany.com), a subdomain is usually the better option.

### **You Can Configure One Domain at a Time**

An event can have **only one custom domain configured at a time**.

If you want to replace the current domain with another one, you'll first need to remove the existing domain and then add the new one.

### **A Domain Can Only Be Linked to One Event**

A custom domain cannot be connected to multiple events simultaneously.

For example, if:

[events.yourcompany.com](http://events.yourcompany.com)

is already connected to Event A, you can't use that same domain for Event B at the same time.

If your organization runs several events and wants each one to have its own branded registration URL, you can use different subdomains where appropriate.

For example:

[conference.yourcompany.com](http://conference.yourcompany.com)

[workshop.yourcompany.com](http://workshop.yourcompany.com)

[summit.yourcompany.com](http://summit.yourcompany.com)

### **LinkedIn Sharing Is Available Only With the KonfHub Domain**

One important limitation to note is that **LinkedIn sharing is currently supported only when the event uses the default KonfHub domain**.

If you configure a custom domain for your event registration page, the **LinkedIn Share option will not be available** for that custom-domain registration page.

If LinkedIn sharing is an important part of your event promotion strategy, you may want to continue using the standard KonfHub event domain.

## **Who Is Custom Domains Useful For?**

Custom Domains can be particularly useful for organizations that run branded events regularly, including:

*   Corporate conferences

*   Annual company events

*   Industry conferences and summits

*   University and academic events

*   Professional associations and communities

*   Large public events

*   Organizations managing multiple events

If your event already has a strong digital presence, using your own domain for registration is a natural way to keep that experience consistent.

## **Make Your Registration Experience Feel Like Your Own**

A branded event experience isn't just about using the right logo, colors, and images.

Even something as simple as the registration URL contributes to how attendees perceive your event.

With **Custom Domains**, KonfHub gives Gold Plan organizers the option to use their own domain for event registration. Your event can continue to use KonfHub's registration and event management capabilities while presenting attendees with a URL that belongs to your brand.

Because sometimes, the details that look small to you are exactly what make the experience feel complete to your attendees.

**Your event. Your brand. Your domain.**

And with KonfHub's Custom Domains, you can bring all three together.

## Frequently Asked Questions

1. **What is a custom domain for an event registration page?**

    A custom domain allows organizers to use their own domain or subdomain for their KonfHub event registration page instead of the default KonfHub URL. For example, you can use events.yourcompany.com instead of konfhub.com/eventname.

2. **Is the Custom Domain feature available on all KonfHub plans?**

    No. Custom Domains are available exclusively with the Gold Plan under the White Label feature.

3. **Can I use my main website domain as a custom domain?**

4. **Can I use the same custom domain for multiple events?**

    No. A custom domain can be linked to only one event at a time. If you manage multiple events, you can use different subdomains such as conference.yourcompany.com, workshop.yourcompany.com, or summit.yourcompany.com.

5. **Can I change my custom domain after setting it up?**

    Yes. However, an event can have only one custom domain at a time. To change it, you must first remove the existing custom domain and then configure the new one.

6. **Does LinkedIn sharing work with a custom domain?**

    No. The LinkedIn Share option is currently available only when your event uses the default KonfHub domain. If you use a custom domain, LinkedIn sharing will not be available on that registration page.
